International cooperation, MoUs, mobility, Erasmus+ initiatives, and global rankings engagement at Green University.

International cooperation and project development

Within the framework of international cooperation and project development:

  • A total of 30 official meetings were conducted, resulting in a number of agreements.
  • Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with 3 foreign higher education institutions, while agreements with 2 additional institutions are currently in the signing process.
  • 3 international scientific conferences and workshops were successfully organized.

Partnership engagements

For reference, both online and offline meetings were held with representatives of the following organizations and institutions:

IWMI, KOICA, OSCE, UNDP, ICBA, WWF, Malaysia Climate Institute, American University, London South Bank University, universities in Beijing, Astana, Ashgabat, Karaganda, TAMK, RWTH Aachen (Germany), Marmara University (Türkiye), University of Reggio Calabria, Kore University of Enna (Italy), and SUMS Company (London).

These engagements significantly strengthened international cooperation and institutional partnerships.

Strategic discussions and outcomes

Online meetings were also conducted with representatives of:

  • London South Bank University
  • American University
  • Beijing University
  • SUMS Company
  • OSCE
  • UNDP

During these meetings, key topics discussed included:

  • Academic and research collaboration
  • University development strategies
  • Opportunities and prospects for implementing joint projects

Key achievements

As a result of these discussions:

  • Agreements were reached with American University, Gdansk University, and Beijing University to initiate student exchange programs.
  • The MoU with American University is currently under finalization.
  • A delegation visit from London South Bank University to Green University is planned for March of the current year.
  • An MoU has been successfully signed with Gdansk University.
  • Agreements were reached with UNDP to implement joint projects and organize collaborative events.

Mobility and academic exchange

  • Agreements have been signed with 2 foreign universities under the ERASMUS Credit Mobility Program to facilitate student exchange, with 1 additional agreement currently in progress.
  • A student exchange agreement is being finalized with the OSCE Academy in Bishkek.
  • Cooperation has been established with KOICA to support student admissions into Master's degree programs.

Research and project initiatives

Within the framework of the ERASMUS+ 2026 Call for Proposals, applications are being submitted for Capacity Building projects across 9 priority areas, including:

  • Green taxation
  • Digital ecology
  • Sustainable tourism
  • Gender in ecology
  • Circular economy
  • Water management
  • Air quality

The total value of these proposed projects amounts to approximately €3.6 million.

Global rankings and institutional development

  • Official cooperation has been established with global ranking platforms, including:
    • QS (Quacquarelli Symonds)
    • THE (Times Higher Education)
    • UI GreenMetric
  • Preparatory work has commenced for participation in:
    • QS Sustainability Rankings
    • QS Top Young Institutions Rankings
  • Formal applications for inclusion in these rankings have been submitted and are currently under review.
